1. Bring milk and water to a low boil in a large saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Gradually whisk in grits and salt; return to a boil. Cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer, stirring occasionally, 5 to 7 minutes or until thickened. Remove from heat, and stir in cheese until blended.2. Layer grits, brisket and coleslaw evenly in 16 martini glasses; drizzle with barbecue sauce. Serve immediately.
